Welcome to the website of the Interchurch Families International Network.

(Feature article can be found below.)

This site provides rich resources for the journey to Chrtistian unity which interchurch families live. Of these, the Journal, produced over a period of more than 10 years, and reflecting the experiences of interchurch families and the theology which undergirds their journey, must be counted among the most valuable.

The Interchurch Families International Discussion Group enables us to share joys and sorrows, to discuss ways of dealing with immediate issues which arise as a consequence of living our marital unity within churches which are divided.  Feel free to join.

Marriage Annulments - Healing Power

Every now and then, a book comes along written from a very different perspective, one that is of real help to people facing the situation it speaks of. "Catholic Annulment: Spiritual Healing" is, I believe, such a book.

Written by Dennis & Kay Flowers, themselves an interchurch couple who have experienced firsthand the difficulties and the healing power of annulment, it helps people see the annulment process for what it should be, a time of grace and growth, of healing and harmonization.

I will take the liberty to quote from the preface by Fr. John Mueller of the Cleveland Diocese Tribunal:

"In an age and a culture where we hear much about lawsuits, when people are consistently and constantly concerned about rights and legal redress, it's refreshing to read a book about healing. In a time when we all want to blame somebody, anybody, for things gone wrong, we need a book about healing ourselves. Healing that can come out of painful, sometimes hostile, and often guilt-laden relationships, or their termination. This is such a book.

... This book is a view of that whole moment in our life which can bring contentment out of contention, healing out of hurt, sense out of nonsense, and peace out of pain. It may be the most important element of the whole process for our individual sanity. It may be a classic in our human struggle to combine the Divine call to holiness with our fragile inadequacy. That is the hope of the authors."

It is a small booklet (60 pages), but packed with resources for people either facing annulment proceedings, or working with those who are. For more information and to place orders, click on the link above,
